For those who've thought about sharing your trauma or healing story

Have you ever had the desire to share your story in a public way but believed that you're not strong or courageous enough?

If so, you're not alone

But, that is not at all the reality.

Yes, it takes courage to speak up publicly, especially about your personal experiences or anything that makes you feel vulnerable. But, speaking publicly is not the only measure of courage.

While sharing our stories publicly can inspire others and help them know they're not alone, the one-on-one conversations we have with people are often far more meaningful and impactful.

When you are having a conversation one-on-one with somebody, when you share honestly and openly about how you feel, you are building a connection with them.

The connection itself is healing.

There is energy exchanged between the two of you.  When your story or struggle is shared publicly, the energy is dispersed.

The number of people that will hear your story is not imperative to how you will be able to make a difference.

Please don't think that the only way you or your story matters is by sharing publicly. Nor that it's the only way to inspire others.

There are so many ways, every day, that your courage and strength are evident. ❤️
