My Journey with Sexual Assault Awareness Month

If you've been watching my videos for a while, you've likely heard me talk about Sexual Assault Awareness Month and maybe noticed me wearing a teal ribbon in the month of April.

For most of the past 25(ish) years, I have been involved in #SAAM in some capacity.

Some years it's harder because it sometimes seems it hasn't made any difference at all (for all of us working to raise awareness).

However, EVERY year I am reminded of the incredible courage, strength, and resilience of what it means to be a survivor because of the connection with all of you. ❤️

For SAAM, I will strive to continue to help people feel and know they are not alone and that healing is possible. #togetherweheal #notourshame

This year I found myself reflecting on some of my experiences with SAAM and thought of a surreal full-circle moment for me and thought I would share it with you.

Every time we share and connect, together we take steps up that mountain.

Together we can change the stigma and shame.

Together we heal. ❤️

I'd love to hear from you. As you share, you help others connect to their courage.
