Episode 53: Self-Acceptance: Learning to Embrace and Appreciate Things We Often Wish Were Different

Episode Description:

This episode originally aired on YouTube.

If you've been following me for a while you probably hear me talk about self-acceptance and honoring your true self a lot. But, as is often the case, it can be hard to apply things we know to ourselves.

In today’s episode, I share my experience of finally being able to embrace and even honor parts of myself I often believed weren’t good enough.

I hope that my experience gives you inspiration to embrace your own uniqueness and recognize that self-acceptance is not only liberating but also important for your healing.

Can you relate to what I shared?

Episode Notes:

  • Peggy reflects on her experience of feeling out of place in a mastermind group, surrounded by individuals who seemed more aligned with certain archetypes she desired to embody.

  • Despite her initial desire to be perceived differently and embody different roles like the "huntress" or "mystic," Peggy consistently identified with the "mother" archetype, leading to disappointment and self-doubt.

  • Over time, Peggy learns to accept and appreciate her role as a mother, recognizing its significance and value in her life, despite initial feelings of deflation.

  • Peggy emphasizes the importance of self-acceptance and embracing one's true identity. She encourages listeners to honor their unique qualities and strengths, rather than conforming to external expectations.
