Healthy coping mechanisms for healing childhood trauma

There are so many practical ways of coping when things feel stressful or challenging.

Take deep breaths.

Distract yourself.

Listen to music or watch a movie.

Journal.

Sometimes they work and other times it’s easy to feel frustrated when they don’t.

Unfortunately, we're not generally taught how to cope when things are difficult. While we may not naturally learn to cope in healthy ways as children, we can shift how we respond and cope now as part of the healing journey.

In this video, I share some ways of coping that are not only healthy but, can actually become an important part of your healing journey.
