Understanding the Complex Impact of Child Grooming

In this video, I respond to a community member’s question about the self-blame that arises through the grooming process.

I address the erroneous idea that survivors bear any responsibility for the acts perpetrated against them.

Throughout this video, I explain the different ways a perpetrator manipulates someone into thinking that she/he is also a participant thus making the survivor believe they are responsible which leads to deeply held shame.
